Artist's Comments

Al Pacino a.k.a. Lefty in Donnie Brasco.

Oil on canvas 84cm x 110cm.

It is a type of speedpainting (3h), but i think this is not really my style cause it has not enough details ,I just need a bit more time.
Let me know about your opinion.

Personally, I think it's the finer details in a picture that really brings it to life...and you're sooo darn good at that! Although, this picture is also fantastic!

I meant, you're very good with painting details in a picture and although this picture doesn't have very many details, it's still beautiful

Al pacino has very dificult fetures, that's why this painting particulatly it seems not entirly acurrate. But steel is very remarcable.
I may put some more drawings. Let me know what you think...

i think it creates a mood
and forces the viewer look for another focus point
being that it lacks highlights
it give the dark edges more immediate command of the image rather then shadowed support of light area
it doesn't have the same kind of punch or excited energy.
the color and quality give an aura of old time monochromatic
this is a painting that can grow on a person
as they being to see your strokes in the face

*we are darkness and a beating heart seeking to fill it with light*
*every day you have a chance to shine*
*try to say what you mean and mean what you say but avoid it in a hurtful way*
